We are currently accepting applications for a dynamic, high performing team leader with a proven track record for the position of Quality Control Supervisor at our Fortune facility.
Duties include:
As a key member of the Fortune management team, the Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Preventive Control Plan (PCP). Responsible for developing and upgrading new PCP/HACCP and quality programs; conducting training in existing and new programs related to quality assurance, PCP, HACCP and food safety; conducting internal audits and leading / assisting with third-party audits; providing technical support with regards to products and specifications, customer enquiries, government regulations and other technical duties as required. The incumbent is also responsible for the compliance to all federal and provincial food safety legislation requirements as well as corporate objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
You are a solutions-focused, experienced professional who welcomes challenge and change. You have demonstrated sound judgment, analytical and problem solving skills and you have the capability to manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced work environment. Ideally you possess training in Food Technology or relevant experience in the seafood industry. Experience with the use of personal computer application is a required asset. Some heavy lifting, climbing, bending as well as chemical testing will be required. Previous quality assurance experience will be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
